how to pick up a barmaid

Any guy who’s spent time in a bar has fallen privy to the fantasy of picking up the hot barmaid. Guess what? With a little strategy and luck on your side, it doesn’t have to be a fantasy! Here are ways to increase your chances.

1.

Tip Well. A stingy tipper is a clear sign that not only are you not interested in her, but that you’re probably not ready to drink in an adult environment. Tip well, but don’t shower her with money either. The latter is a sign of desperation, and can easily be taken advantage of by unscrupulous barmaid, who will give you just enough hair tosses and flirtatious signals to empty out your wallet. Strike a balance.

2.

Don’t try to engage her during a rush. No one likes to be hassled during work hours. Instead feel free to participate in conversations with others, as well as an activity like pool or darts. Being well-adjusted is always a plus.

3.

Resist the urge to flirt with others. A good barmaid keeps an eye on all of her patrons. Rampant flirting sends a clear signal that you’re looking for a hook-up, and aren’t particular about who it is.

4.

Buy her a drink. Do it when ordering one for yourself to make it seem natural. If she engages you in conversation, great. If not, don’t push it. Keep being a good customer, and an opening may present itself.

5.

Ask for her name. This is a clear signal that you’re interested in progressing beyond the “anonymous customer” phase. Again, don’t make it seem like a preamble to anything, just a friendly chat. Don’t volunteer yours. Let her ask for it. If she does, it’s a sign that she may be interested in you.

6.

Be friendly. Far too many guys fall for the trap of overtly coming on to a barmaid. This will never work for a woman who gets approached routinely and regularly. Instead, look for ways to make her life easier. If you see her struggling to bring something into the bar, offer to help. If she seems bored during a lull, make conversation. Really listen to her and try to get to know her.

7.

Avoid overt compliments. Again, this is something she hears way too often. Genuine or no, keep them to yourself.
Step

8.

Notice her focus of attention. Does she spend equal amounts of time chatting up other patrons, or is she singling you out? Does she keep conversation general or display a curiosity about your life and interests.

9.

Don’t ask her out unless it’s obvious. If she mentions a particular bar or restaurant, suggest getting together there in a friendly, unthreatening way. Most times, a barmaid will simply extend an open invite for you to drop in again. Take it slow, and take her up on it. Barmaids fall into the rare category where its permissible for the girl to do the asking-out.
